अडखळले मी कितीकदा धडपडले
तव प्रीतीमध्ये नखशिकांत मी बुडले
झेलले तुझे मी दाहक सारे वार
पण प्रेमाला संहार म्हणाले नाही..

आपले म्हणाले जे जे परके होते
शेवटास माझे श्वास पोरके होते
एकटेच जगणे माझ्या वाट्या आले
पण "दे मजला आधार" म्हणाले नाही!

रे मजला तू वचनात बांधले होते
संसाराच्या स्वप्नांत सांधले होते
उधळून डाव निघून जातानाही..
"कर स्वप्ने ती साकार" म्हणाले नाही!

ही भकास उरली सोबतीस अंधारी
तू सोडुन जाता ठरले मीच भिकारी
तो सूर्य सुखाचा बुडून गेला तेव्हा
मी "नको मला अंधार" म्हणाले नाही!

आज 'तो' राहिला नाही!

यायचे कुठुनसे तेव्हा
ढग दाटुन एकाएकी
स्पर्शून जायची मजला
प्रीतीची लाट अनोखी

उधळीत पेटता श्वास
'तो' कवेत मजला घेई
परि आर्त क्षणांना तैशा
कधि मेघ बरसला नाही..!

अन् आज दाटले मेघ
ही सांज कोंडली आहे ..
अन् आज अधिर श्वासात
ही प्रीत मांडली आहे

अन् अवचित आज खुळासा
नभि मेघहि बरसुन जाई...
पण कवेत मजसी घेण्या,
आज 'तो' राहिला नाही!

They all are the best buddies.They laugh together,cry together,they get away from each other,reunite,fight amongst themselves stil continue to be the buddies for life..till the very end.
Yeh Jawani hai Diwani is thus a package of laughter, adventure, friendship, dreams and love. In short it has everything a film should have...yet another good movie from Ayan Mukherjee. A must watch I'd say... not because I love Ranbir but because YJHD is an amazing ride of youthfulness, the youthfulness which is totally irresistable!

It's been really long
years..decades..centuries...
it's been the big ages..
yet feelings did not cease..

I said, I don't bother
I said, let it be..
when deep within, your absence..
nibbled the life off me..

It was you who started it..
and then I fell for you
and then you left, like nothing ever
happened amidst us two..

you said you'd stay forever..
just said...you never did...
your 'forever' being just like you..
shallow and short-lived..

and now I fight the memories back
the thoughts invade my mind
